Young reindeer NIKO is being raised by his single mother, but he knows his Dad is a member of Santa's legendary Flying Forces - the coolest reindeers around! He has never met his Daddy, though, and everybody laughs at his attempts to fly, since he keeps on falling down.
When a herd of hungry wolves, led by the evil BLACK WOLF, attacks the reindeer herd, NIKO feels responsible and heads off on a desperate, dangerous mission through icy blizzards and across wild terrain to find his father. Accompanied by JULIUS, a clumsy flying squirrel, who has nurtured the boy since he was a baby, they save the life of sassy young singing weasel WILMA. Reluctantly grateful, WILMA shows NIKO and JULIUS the way to Santa's Workshop. On his journey, NIKO discovers an evil plan to destroy the famous flying squadron, and replace it with the evil BLACK WOLF and his gang. Not only NIKO's Dad is in grave danger, but Christmas itself...
