4 February 2009 MOGADISHU WELCOME WINS GOLDEN CAMERA AWARD
The extraordinary Event Movie MOGADISHU WELCOME has won two awards at the 44th Golden Camera Gala in Berlin: "Best Television Film" and "Best German Actor" Christian Berkel.

The Jury described the film as much more than a random thriller. The screenplay, director and actors have all made a perfect contribution to create the TV event of the year. The drama is not only a thrilling piece of television, but a lesson in the meaning of democracy. Christian Berkels impressed the jury with his performance as Helmut Schmidt in the hijacking drama "Mogadischu" . He studied the former Federal Chancellor with great intensity and rendered the role just as precisely.

Telepool congratulates the winners!
