Since the beginning of 2007, TELEPOOL now has its own office in Leipzig, at the location of MDR. All distribution activities of the MDR programme domains radio and television are now accumulated and optimised here, and the processes converted strategically and integrally.

In addition to the acquisition of television programmes for MDR, TELEPOOL also focuses on the following key competencies:

• Distribution of MDR productions, e.g. excerpts, public screenings and foreign distribution,

• Exploitation of ancillary rights of TV and radio programmes, e.g. release of DVDs, CDs, books and merchandising products,

• Executive production for international co-productions at the location Leipzig, e.g. with Eastern Europe,

• Organisation and implementation of marketing activities, e.g. organisation of events and fairs such as German Screenings 2007,

• Services in multimedia domain, e.g. support of the MDR online shop as well as

• Recording service of TV programmes for private use.
